PETITION TO CHANGE CATEGORY

In general, exceptions to the Placement Criteria are discouraged and should be granted only under extraordinary circumstances. Petitions for an exception to the Placement Criteria and requests for placement in another category may be submitted by an athlete’s Head Coach or Team Director using the form below.

Petitions should be submitted with sufficient time for consideration. Until a decision has been rendered on a petition, the athlete in question must compete in the category determined by the Placement Criteria outlined on page 36 of the 2024 Rule Book. The deadline for the final petition for the 2024 season is Friday, September 13 at 5 p.m.

Parents may not directly submit a petition. Petitioning for a placement criteria exception may only be requested by a Head Coach or Team Director.
