Georgia Cycling 2024 rule book

Each year the Georgia Cycling Association publishes a rule book to govern the conduct of coaches, student-athletes, and supporters/spectators. This publication is an essential piece of our program as it is designed to keep our participants safe and our competition fair.

All those involved with the Georgia Cycling program are required to review the Rule Book and familiarize themselves with the rules laid forth. Failure to maintain awareness of the rules does not create permission to ignore the rules. This document has been created and approved by the Georgia Cycling Association Rules Committee and is effective March 1, 2024.

Rule Book file was updated on 4/30/2024. The most current edition is Rule Book 2024 V2

GEORGIA CYCLING RULES COMMITTEE

The Georgia Cycling Rules Committee comprises representatives from teams across the state. Each year, the Rules Committee meets to discuss issues that come up during a season. The committee then reviews all rules, line by line, to ensure they still meet the standards of fair and safe competition. Modifications are made at that time and the committee votes on all proposed changes. The updated Georgia Cycling Rule Book is then published for the upcoming season.

Rules Committee members serve a minimum two-year term. All committee vacancies will be announced publicly and the process to fill that spot will commence. Candidates will be reviewed on a first-come, first-serve basis, and spots are open to all adult members of the Georgia Cycling Community, regardless of their role within the community.
